Synexus South Africa head office and the Watermeyer Clinical Research Centre are situated in the new state-of-the-art 2011 sq m Synexus building in Val de Grace, Pretoria.
The Watermeyer Clinical Research Centre is one of the largest dedicated research sites (DRS) in South Africa. The physical size has been increased from 740 sq m to 1063 sq m. This state-of-the-art clinical research facility was designed for patient comfort and to support first-world clinical research.
It offers on-site patient engagement, 10 procedure rooms for nurse interaction with patients, 6 consultation rooms for doctors, a larger dispensary for storage of Investigational products, a larger sample processing lab, a radiology department (with X-ray and DXA machines), a training room with AV facilities, a larger waiting area for patients and a dedicated monitoring room for clients.
The site also boasts a comfortable 5-bed in-patient ward which is suited for overnight stays and is ideal for intensive protocol procedures including serial spirometry, ECGs, IV infusion stays, and serial blood sampling. Few centres in the world have this flexibility of having an out- and an in-patient facility.
