Your skin is your body’s largest organ its role is to cover and protect your body. As well as covering for your internal organs, your skin helps you to feel the external environment for example, hot cold and pain and is important in making vitamin D when the sun shines. Anything that irritates, clog or inflames the skin can cause symptoms such as redness, swelling, burning or itching. In addition you can get allergic reactions that show themselves as rashes or other skin conditions. There are many different skin disorders. Some are short term, easily treated, and just a nuisance. Others can persist for a long time and be troublesome and many skin problems, such as acne or atopic dermatitis (eczema) affect your appearance.
